ABOUT US

OceanGroveRecord.com seeks to give back to the folks of Ocean Grove the sense of excitement that comes when you pick up a fresh copy of your local newspaper.

Of course, a lot has happened since the early 1990s. Specifically, the ubiquity of the home computer – and the rise of the world wide web into our daily lives. And OceanGroveRecord.com is the answer and promise of that technology.

OceanGroveRecord.com is designed exclusively for the web, but with an eye toward the local town newspaper's place in the community.

In the weekly edition of the newspaper, posted instead of printed, you'll find everything you would expect to find in a print edition.

But in a nod to the possibilities of today's technology, you will quickly find that logging on everyday is a worthwhile experience.

By clicking on the links to your right you can get the news you need to start your day. International and national news, traffic and weather reports, stock updates, sports scores and more - all from leading news sources.

By clicking on our sponsors to the left, you can discover for yourself what Ocean Grove has to offer in cyberspace as well as on the ground.

Steven Froias, the publisher of OceanGroveRecord.com first discovered the Grove in 1989 and promptly took up residence. A decade ago he worked at the old Ocean Grove and Neptune Times as a prelude to creating and managing a series of community weekly newspapers.

Jason Thomson began his career as a webmaster before also joining the staff of a weekly newspaper. His website designs have won favor throughout Monmouth County with community groups and businesses alike.

The two have since been joined by contributors Paul Goldfinger, Charlotte Pritchard and Michael Au Natural. They look look forward to bringing you the best of Ocean Grove every week.

Suggestions, comments and feedback are welcome and encouraged. After you've signed onto out news mailing list, tell us what's on your mind by dropping us a line at Mail@OceanGroveRecord.com whenever you wish.
